Prasad is a 100% gluten-free vegan restaurant in a yoga studio in the Pearl District, so it’s a little fancy. But not, you know, TOO fancy. It’s Portland, so roll in with your topknot and yoga pants, and you’re good to go. They serve breakfast until 11 a.m., soups, salads, and bowls, and smoothies alllll the time.
In addition to your Bliss Salad (currants, golden raisins, candied pumpkin seeds & walnuts, millet, roasted beets, carrots & mixed greens with lemon ginger dressing, $9), you can get a “health exlir,” wheatgrass shot, or matcha latte.
Plenty of kale, quinoa and tempeh, along with smoothies, wraps, and bowls.
Prasad East opened in late 2015 in the Portland Rock Gym, bringing a welcome healthy and vegan option to the Inner Southeast/Lower Burnside area that’s growing all the time.
