Aviary offers upscale modern cuisine that people seem to dig. I was told a few years ago that they always have at least one vegetarian meal option every night.
Get happy, vegetarians! Aviary’s occasional vegetarian nights went well enough, that they now offer a vegetarian prix fixe tasting menu every day. Everyone in your party has to be on board in order to get the $40 price for four courses.
Vegetarians don’t fare as well during happy hour, so you might want to stick to dinner or check the menu ahead of time.
A spring menu at Aviary included:
Japanese eggplant
with tomato miso, aji amarillo, dill, $8
Tempura green bean
with green curry, sesame salt, $9
Beet and asparagus salad
with sunflower seeds, yogurt, frisée, za’atar, $11
You’ll need a reservation anyway, so ask about vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options when you call.
